Lee BIA Names Eagle Concrete Systems Subcontractor of the Year
FORT MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 8, 2007) – Eagle Concrete Systems was named Subcontractor of the Year at the second annual Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) Commercial Contractors Council Summit Awards banquet. The company was recognized for its customer relations practices, community involvement and superior professionalism.
Eagle Concrete Systems won an additional award for its concrete work on the Golden Gate Fire Station number 73 in the public works category. Deangelis Diamond Construction Inc., the general contractor, also won an award for the 17,023-square-foot fire station and the adjacent 11,454-square-foot administration building, which is located at 14575 Collier Boulevard in Naples. In addition, Eagle Concrete Systems’ Web site and brochure won marketing awards in the subcontractor division.
The Lee BIA commercial Contractors Council started the Summit Awards program to give recognition to area commercial contractors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers who have obtained an outstanding level of success and demonstrated superior professionalism throughout the year.
To ensure an unbiased vote, a panel of Orlando-area commercial construction professionals were used to judge each entry. The winners were selected based on ethical behavior, customer relations, community involvement and management capabilities. In addition, the judges evaluated each entrant on quality of construction, the ability to overcome challenges and complete the project within the scheduled timeframe and budget, as well as keeping the worksite safe.
