Fort Myers-based Concrete Company Expands into Southeast Florida

SOUTHEAST, Fla. (June 13, 2008) – Fort Myers-based Eagle Concrete Systems Inc. has expanded the company’s operation to provide concrete services for commercial builders and developers in Southeast Florida, including Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties.

Founded in 1991, the company initially served Lee County. After current owners Michael and Carmel Leannah bought the company in 2001, Eagle Concrete grew to include projects throughout seven Southwest Florida counties. This spring, the company expanded operations once again to include service to 26 additional Florida counties.

 “We have been fortunate to work with a number of successful general contractors in Southwest Florida and now look forward to building on those relationships in the Southeast Florida and Treasure Coast area,” says Michael Leannah. “Some of our existing partners build in this region, while we also have the opportunity to expand our client base.”

In addition to Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties, the expanded service area includes 10 counties in and around the Tampa-St. Petersburg market and 12 counties around and north of Orlando.

Eagle Concrete’s first project in the expanded service area is Valencia Square, a new Publix-anchored shopping center in Boynton Beach. Valencia Square will have six retail buildings totaling 83,400 square feet. Eagle Concrete recently began work on the project for general contractor Keene Construction Company.
